The Mercedes-Benz GLB is a compact luxury SUV that offers both style and practicality. With its spacious interior, advanced technology, and luxurious appointments, the GLB is a great choice for those looking for a versatile vehicle that can handle both city driving and off-road adventures.
Starting with the exterior styling, the boxy look of this crossover looks like a miniaturized version of the brand’s flagship GLS SUV. (It also gives us Bronco Sport vibes…what about you?) Our tester has the optional AMG Line Night package which darkens all the brightwork on the exterior and options these multi-spoke gloss black AMG wheels.
One of the standout features of the GLB is its spacious interior. With room for up to seven passengers (ours was only a 5-seater), this SUV is perfect for families or groups of friends who need extra space for passengers and cargo. The GLB also offers plenty of high-end amenities, including leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium sound system. As with other Mercedes-Benz products, the interior ambient lighting is impressive, really making this feel a class above its competitors. Mercedes-Benz has packed a lot into this small package and it is truly impressive the ways designers have captured the essence of their larger SUVs in the GLB.
Under the hood, the GLB250 features a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that delivers 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. All torque is on tap from a low 1,800 rpm, leaving this little crossover to feel quicker when it counts: merging onto the highways, passing, or climbing steep grades. The 8-speed dual-clutch automatic does have paddle shifters if you want to choose the gear yourself. Multiple drive modes allow you to tailor the vehicle to your driving style.
Overall, the Mercedes-Benz GLB is a great choice for those looking for a compact luxury SUV that offers both style and practicality. With its spacious interior, advanced technology, and powerful engine options, the GLB is a versatile vehicle that can handle a wide range of driving needs.
