The Subaru Crosstrek Limited is a versatile and capable compact crossover that is quite a premium little product at the base of the Subaru hierarchy. With its rugged good looks, standard all-wheel drive, and impressive fuel efficiency, this vehicle is ideal for those who want a car that can handle anything from a daily commute to a weekend adventure.
One of the standout features of the Crosstrek Limited is its standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. This advanced system automatically distributes power to the wheels that need it most, providing optimal traction and stability on any road surface. Whether you're driving on a snowy mountain pass or a rain-slicked highway, the Crosstrek Limited will do its best to keep you tracking in your intended direction.
Another great feature of the Crosstrek Limited is its fuel efficiency. While it is not the hybrid version this Limited trim, with its naturally-aspirated 2.5L Boxer engine making 182 horsepower, can achieve an impressive EPA-estimated 34 mpg on the highway. This vehicle is one of the most fuel-efficient all-wheel drive cars on the market, meaning you'll save money at the pump and have more money to spend on the things you love.
On the inside, the Crosstrek Limited is just as impressive. The interior is rather spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for passengers and decent room for cargo. Standard features include leather-trimmed seats with our tester’s heated front seats, a power moonroof, and an 8-inch Subaru STARLINK infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. We were a little disappointed with the cargo space. Our largest piece of luggage is too long to fit in the cargo compartment longitudinally, meaning you either need to turn it sideways or fold the rear seats to get it in.
Safety is a big selling point for the entire Subaru portfolio of vehicles, and this Crosstrek comes with an entire suite of safety technologies to help protect you and your passengers. The Blind-Spot Detection system warns you with a visual indicator on each side mirror if it senses a vehicle in your blind spots. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert helps warn you of traffic approaching from the side as you are backing up, and a standard Rear-Vision Camera enhances visibility when reversing. With available Reverse Automatic Braking, your vehicle can even stop itself to help avoid objects behind you.
If you're looking for a compact crossover that can handle anything life throws your way while not sacrificing some luxuries, the Subaru Crosstrek Limited is an excellent choice. With its standard all-wheel drive, impressive fuel efficiency, and comfortable interior, this vehicle is the perfect companion for your next adventure, and the one after that, and the one after that. Subaru claims that 97% of all Crosstrek vehicles sold in the last decade are still on the road, more than its primary competitors of the Toyota RAV4, Jeep Compass, or Honda CR-V.
