Long the butt of many jokes in the automotive community and in pop culture (see the movie The Other Guys with Will Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg), the Toyota Prius had a stigma around it that few outside the halls of Toyota ever thought it would shake. That was until November 16, 2022.

Meet the "Hybrid Reborn" as they say at Toyota in the new 2023 Prius.
This sexy hatchback has a much cleaner overall appearance than the 4th generation model it replaces. Gone are those zig-zag LED taillights and that bisected rear window. Here for the new model year are smooth, aerodynamic bodysides with a minimalistic approach overall. Less really is more with the 2023 Prius.
The Prius comes in 2 flavors, Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid.
Prius Hybrid FWD:
194 horsepower
0-60 time of 7.2
Prius Hybrid AWD:
196 horsepower
0-60 time of 7.0 seconds
Prius Prime Plug-in Hybrid:
220 horsepower
0-60 time of 6.6 seconds
As 2023 models, expect to see these popping up in showrooms in early 2023 with the PHEV in spring of 2023.
