What is left to say that has not already been said about this insane 702-horsepower monster of a pickup truck?
Ram Trucks set the pickup world on notice when they introduced this current generation 1500 back as a 2019 model year update. With arguably the best interior in the business and coil springs in the rear, this thing was not your grandfather's (or father’s) pickup truck.
For the 2021 model year, Ram decided to upend the high-speed off-road segment with this TRX variant powered by the 702-horsepower “Hellcat” supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that Dodge and Jeep had been placing in their most insane vehicles. Ram even put a nice little easter egg under the hood showing a T-Rex eating a velociraptor, showing the intention desires and engineers had to take down the Ford F-150 Raptor.
This thing did it for sure, causing Ford to react with a v8-powered Raptor R.
This is not our first time behind the wheel of a Ram 1500 TRX, we actually were among the first to drive it back in 2020, but we can never turn down the opportunity. With a wider, taller stance, dramatic looks, increased wheel travel, and the aforementioned V8, there is little holding this pickup back.
