There is no doubt that you have seen a modern Toyota Camry on the road. Toyota has sold over 300,000 annually, consistently since 1994. After spending a week in this 2023 Camry XLE Hybrid supplied to us for testing from Toyota, we can see why.

This car is comfortable, well-equipped, and (since it is a hybrid) very efficient. With room for an entire family, it’s no wonder Toyota has sold so many of these. They are the quintessential family car. It is almost a right of passage that you get a Camry when you start a family, right?
We really appreciated the ease of maneuvering this vehicle around in town. The steering was light at low speeds making it a great vehicle for running errands, especially since our hybrid model has an EPA-estimated 46 mpg in combined city/highway driving. Add to that one of the largest opening trunks I have seen in a sedan in quite some time, with 15.1 cubic feet of space at that, this Camry would be an excellent vehicle to take Black Friday shopping this year.
I was also a huge fan of the Reservoir Blue on our tester. Pictures do not do this blue justice as it was hard to truly capture. It really was a unique shade. The best I can describe it would be a dark royal blue. It really made this vehicle look much classier, in my opinion. It paired nicely with our tester’s Macadamia perforated leather interior, though I do wish our windows were darkly tinted. That would have to be my first modification to stay cool in the summer here in Texas.
Family review coming Thanksgiving day.
