- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, measure performance, and serve and measure advertising. See “Cookies and Advertising” below.
Information From Third Parties
Our advertising and service partners may provide us with aggregated or de-identified information about Site performance and audience, and advertising networks may collect information directly through your browser as described below.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its content;
- To send our newsletter and respond to your inquiries or partnership requests;

Cookies and Advertising
GT: Garage Talk is free to read and is supported by advertising. We work with third-party advertising partners — which may include Media.net, Google, and other ad networks delivered through our publisher technology provider — to display ads. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide and measure advertising, including interest-based (personalized) advertising.
You can learn more about interest-based advertising and opt out of personalized ads from participating companies through these industry tools:
- Digital Advertising Alliance: optout.aboutads.info (and the YourAdChoices app)
- Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
- Google Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com
- For EEA/UK users: youronlinechoices.eu
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. We honor recognized opt-out signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by law.
We also use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from spam and abuse; your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described here:
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the Site and our communications, including our website host (Kinsta), our email/newsletter provider (Resend), our form tools, and our advertising technology providers. They process information on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments.
- Advertising partners. As described in “Cookies and Advertising,” ad networks may collect information through your browser to serve and measure ads.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fifteen58 Productions LLC, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Some data-protection laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly to include the use of cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising. To the extent our advertising practices are considered a “sale” or “sharing” under those laws, you can opt out using the tools above and the rights described in “Your Privacy Rights.”
Third-Party Content and Embeds
Our pages include content and embeds from third-party services, such as YouTube videos, the Spotify podcast player, our Spring (Creator-Spring) merchandise store, and our podcast feed provider. When you interact with these embeds, the third party may collect information and set cookies under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use. Purchases made through our merchandise store are handled by Spring and are subject to Spring’s terms and privacy policy.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, and to opt out of certain processing.
U.S. State Privacy Rights (including California)
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to: (1) know and access the personal information we collect; (2) request deletion of your personal information; (3) correct inaccurate information; and (4) opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To opt out of interest-based advertising, use the industry tools listed above or a recognized opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control. To make any other request, contact us at business@gtgaragetalk.com; we may need to verify your identity before responding.
EEA / UK Rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent (for example, for our newsletter or certain cookies), you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal bases for processing include your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Site, and compliance with legal obligations.
Newsletter and Communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you periodic emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us. We process newsletter sign-ups using Resend.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We also instruct our advertising partners not to serve personalized advertising to users we identify as children where required by law. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at business@gtgaragetalk.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy — for example, we retain newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe, and we retain contact-form messages as long as needed to respond and keep records — unless a longer period is required by law.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including a secure (HTTPS) connection and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Visitors
We operate from the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
