2027 Lexus RZ Starts at $47,495 With Up to 301 Miles of Range

Lexus is reshaping its all-electric RZ crossover for 2027, and the big story for shoppers is choice. The 2027 Lexus RZ comes in three powertrains and three grades, starting at $47,495 for the front-wheel-drive RZ 350e and topping out at $58,770 for the 402-horsepower RZ 550e F SPORT with all-wheel drive (AWD). Lexus expects it to reach dealerships early next year.
We recently spent a week in the 2026 RZ 550e F SPORT, so we already have a good feel for where this EV shines. Here is what the new model brings, what it costs, and which version makes the most sense for your driveway.
2027 Lexus RZ Pricing Starts at $47,495

Here is how pricing breaks down across the lineup. Every price includes the $1,395 delivery, processing, and handling fee.
| Model | Drivetrain | Horsepower | MSRP* |
|---|---|---|---|
| RZ 350e | FWD | 221 | $47,495 |
| RZ 350e Premium | FWD | 221 | $49,970 |
| RZ 450e AWD | AWD | 308 | $50,995 |
| RZ 450e Premium AWD | AWD | 308 | $53,470 |
| RZ 450e Luxury AWD | AWD | 308 | $58,495 |
| RZ 550e F SPORT AWD | AWD | 402 | $58,770 |
Interestingly, only $275 separates the quickest RZ from the 450e Luxury, so performance fans should cross-shop those two closely. You can build your own on Lexus.com.
The RZ comes in three grades, each with its own character:
- Premium: NuLuxe-trimmed seats and door trim Shadow Illumination
- Luxury: Ultrasuede-trimmed seats, laser-etched Ultrasuede door inserts, and animated door trim Shadow Illumination
- F SPORT: the same Ultrasuede upgrades and animated lighting, paired with the 402-horsepower RZ 550e powertrain
Exterior color choices include:
- Oxygen White
- Cloudburst Gray
- Iridium
- Caviar
- Copper Crest
- Ether
- Wind (RZ 550e F SPORT only)
- Two-tone combinations with Copper Crest, Cloudburst Gray, Wind, and Iridium (RZ 550e F SPORT only)
Every RZ is assembled at the Motomachi plant in Japan.
Up to 301 Miles of Range and a NACS Port

Range depends on which RZ you choose. Here are the manufacturer-estimated ratings:
- RZ 350e FWD: 301 miles with 18-inch wheels
- RZ 450e AWD: 260 miles with 18-inch wheels
- RZ 550e F SPORT AWD: about 229 miles with 20-inch wheels
The 350e and 450e use a 74.69-kWh battery, and the 550e gets a slightly larger 76.96-kWh pack.
Every 2027 RZ also has a North American Charging System (NACS) port on the passenger side, which opens the door to thousands of high-speed chargers nationwide. Under ideal conditions, DC fast charging takes the battery from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes, and an 11-kW onboard charger handles Level 1 and Level 2 charging at home. When we tested the RZ, we charged it with our partners at Lectron and their Lectron Nexus charger with the NACS plug, and there is no brand we trust more for charging an EV at home.

Three Powertrains, Including a 402-Horsepower F SPORT

Each RZ powertrain brings a different personality:
- RZ 350e FWD: 221 horsepower sent to the front wheels, making it the efficiency pick
- RZ 450e AWD: 308 horsepower with the DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system
- RZ 550e F SPORT AWD: 402 horsepower, DIRECT4, and a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.1 seconds
DIRECT4 can shift drive force anywhere from a 60:40 front-to-rear split to fully rear-biased during launches, and it adjusts in corners based on speed and steering angle. In Range mode, it holds a 50:50 split to help maximize efficiency.
The 550e also keeps M Mode, which uses the paddle shifters to simulate an eight-speed gearbox, complete with engine sounds and a shift guide in the gauge cluster. It was one of our favorite surprises in the 2026 model, and it remains one of the more entertaining tricks in any EV.
A Cabin Built for Comfort

Every RZ comes standard with:
- Heated and ventilated front seats
- A heated steering wheel
- An eight-way power driver seat with two-way power lumbar
- An eight-way power front passenger seat
- A power tilt-and-telescopic steering column
- The Lexus Memory System for the driver seat, steering wheel, and outside mirrors
The available Dynamic Sky panorama glass roof has a dimming feature that lets you control how much light comes in, which is handy for keeping the back seat comfortable on a sunny Texas afternoon. Depending on grade, interior colors include Dapple Gray, Palomino, Macadamia, Thunderstorm, and Black.
Tech and Safety Features Families Will Use

On the tech side, here is what you get:
- A standard 14-inch touchscreen running Lexus Interface
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Cloud navigation and the Hey Lexus Intelligent Assistant, with a three-month Drive Connect trial
- Remote Connect, Safety Connect, and Service Connect, each with a five-year trial
- An available digital key that lets your phone work as the key through the Lexus app
For parents, the standout is the standard Digital Latch with Safe Exit Assist, which can help keep a door from opening when it detects a car or bicycle approaching from behind. That matters when kids are hopping out curbside at school pickup. Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is also standard and includes:
- Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
- Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
- Lane Tracing Assist
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
- Road Sign Assist
- Proactive Driving Assist
- Automatic High Beams
Available Advanced Park with Remote Park and Traffic Jam Assist add even more help.
Our Take on the 2027 Lexus RZ

After our week in the 2026 RZ 550e F SPORT, I came away impressed with how quick and quiet it is, and the 2027 lineup makes the RZ easier to recommend to more families. The 301-mile estimate for the RZ 350e is a strong number for a luxury EV at this price, and the NACS port takes a lot of the guesswork out of road trips.
If you want the thrills, the 550e F SPORT is still the one I would pick, especially with so little separating it from the 450e Luxury. However, if your days are mostly school runs and commutes, the RZ 350e is the smart buy. Holli also put the RZ through its paces as a family hauler in her family review, so check that out before you shop.
