Lexus has released pricing for the 2027 Lexus TX, and the three-row luxury SUV starts at $58,890 including delivery. It is a light update year, with tweaks to the brakes, wheels, and badging, plus a new option that adds a splash of color to F SPORT models.

Here is what changes for 2027, plus pricing for every trim.

What’s New for the 2027 Lexus TX

The TX 350 gets revised vacuum brake booster and brake hold tuning, and the TX 500h now wears “AWD” badges instead of “DIRECT4” badges. In addition, the 20-inch wheels on the Premium trim get a darker gray finish, and red-painted brake calipers are a new option on F SPORT models.

Matador Red Mica remains available on non-F SPORT trims, and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard across the lineup. The lineup now consists of two powertrains, the turbocharged TX 350 and the TX 500h hybrid, since the TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid is no longer offered for 2027.

Two Powertrains for the 2027 Lexus TX

The TX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine making 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Power then goes through an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD), with all-wheel drive (AWD) available. Plus, the AWD system can shift torque from a 75:25 front-to-rear split up to 50:50.

The TX 500h F SPORT Performance is the one for enthusiast parents. It combines a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine with a parallel hybrid system for 366 total system horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Instead of the eight-speed, it uses a six-speed automatic, a 64-kW front motor, and a 76-kW rear eAxle, and it is AWD only. Better yet, the nickel-metal hydride battery sits under the second row, so it doesn’t steal cargo space.

Fuel economy and towing figures for the 2027 lineup have not been announced yet, so we will update this story once those numbers are available.

This is where the TX earns its keep for families. For example, you get 20.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, 57.4 cubic feet with the available power-folding third row down, and 97 cubic feet with both rear rows folded. Also, depending on the trim, the second row is either a pair of captain’s chairs or a 60:40 split-folding bench.

The TX is built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana and rides on the same GA-K platform as the Lexus RX and NX. Inside, interior colors include Peppercorn, Birch, and Black, and exterior colors include Wind Chill Pearl, Celestial Silver Metallic, Cloudburst Gray, Caviar, Nightfall Mica, Matador Red Mica, and Incognito for F SPORT models.

Tech and Safety Features

Every TX gets a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 14-inch touchscreen, a wireless charger, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Depending on the trim, there are up to seven USB ports and three power outlets, which is great news on a family road trip. On top of that, a 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system and a head-up display are available.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, including a Pre-Collision System with pedestrian detection that can apply automatic emergency braking from roughly 7 to 110 MPH, plus full-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management. Additionally, a standard Digital Latch with Safe Exit Assist helps keep kids from opening a door into traffic, and AWD models get a standard Trail Mode. Advanced Park and Traffic Jam Assist are available.

Our Take on the 2027 Lexus TX

The TX is a solid entry, but it hardly makes itself a worthwhile upgrade over the stellar Toyota Grand Highlander, unless you get the TX 500h. That 366-horsepower F SPORT Performance model is the one that truly separates itself and makes the Lexus badge worth the extra money. If you are cross-shopping, Lexus also has a new three-row EV on the way, the Lexus TZ 600e.
