2027 Ram Rumble Bee Pricing Builds On Tire Shredding Value
When the 2027 Ram Rumble Bee thundered its way onto the scene, it was a bold reminder of just how serious Ram was about entering the street performance market, with its debut featuring plenty of tire smoke, flashes of bright yellow paint, and a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 providing all the right noises when pushed hard. Ram also confirmed three other flavors were coming, but left questions about pricing unanswered.
That’s now changing with Ram confirming the full pricing ladder for all four versions of the Rumble Bee, and the brand is seemingly trying its best to offer a version for a wide variety of consumer budgets in an attempt to boost its mass appeal.
Ram’s Rumble Bee Is A Worthy Sequel
While the 2027 Ram Rumble Bee may seem like it’s an all-new offering, it’s actually a sequel to the original, which was produced in two limited production runs in 2004 and 2005. These trucks were largely styling packages, with these rigs coming in either Solar Yellow or Black. The exterior also got a ground effects package, chrome wheels, and decals, all of them being powered by an older version of the 5.7-liter Hemi V8.
This time around, the 2027 Rumble Bee is trying to be a more comprehensive offering by covering more ground in the street truck market. The $62,790 base model is the most style-focused of the bunch, and it also faithfully follows the old formula with an updated version of the 5.7-liter V8, which makes 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Buyers looking for more muscle will be directed to the $72,790 Rumble Bee 392, which gets the bigger 6.4-liter V8 seen in other 392 models. As seen in those aforementioned models, it makes 470 horsepower and is the first trim that allows it to explore more of its wild side.
The Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack is an extra $10,000, but this one gets launch control and an Electronic Spool Differential that not only locks the rear axle, but also splits the power and torque evenly to each of the rear wheels for smoother launches.
Rumble Bee SRT Pays Homage To SRT-10 Model
While the first three models are designed to build off some of the good things the original was known for, the range-topping $97,790 Rumble Bee SRT is paying homage to another Ram performance icon, the Ram SRT-10. These monsters were built between 2004 and 2006 and stood out thanks to their 8.3-liter V10, which was lifted out of the Dodge Viper.
Sadly, the V10 is now extinct, but the Rumble Bee SRT offers the next best thing: a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8. This V8 is shared with the trail-busting Ram TRX, and it also keeps its 777 hp and 680 lb-ft of torque intact. That’s enough to make the sprint to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds before topping out at 170 mph. The SRT gets the same equipment as the 392 Track Pack, including its Electronic Spool Differential. It also doesn’t hurt that the truck is $5,000 less than the TRX, which might please some enthusiasts.
Rumble Bee Is Latest Example of a Big Pivot For Ram
The appearance of the 2027 Ram Rumble Bee family is also another example of the V8-related pivot Ram has made since former CEO Carlos Tavares resigned in 2024. Back then, Ram had killed the Hemi V8 and had hitched its future to a Ram 1500 that would be powered exclusively by the Hurricane inline-six.
Not surprisingly, sales cratered, and customers fled in droves to rivals, with Ram execs later admitting that cutting the beloved V8 was a big mistake. The Rumble Bee and the TRX are trying to build on the core strengths the brand had prior to that period, with the V8-powered Rams allowing the truck brand to reach traditional truck buyers who wanted V8 power for certain jobs and were willing to sacrifice fuel economy to do it.
The Rumble Bee and TRX, in particular, will also give Ram two halo models to help draw in traffic to showrooms. While some of these buyers will not buy either model when they walk in to see them, they could be lured into other Ram trims, which will help passively boost sales for those mainstream variants.
When Can I Buy One?
Ram will be rolling out the 2027 Rumble Bee lineup in two phases when it begins production later this year. The first wave will be the 5.7-liter-powered base model, which is perhaps an attempt by Ram to give buyers a taste of the experience while also buying the brand time to prepare for the production of the remaining models.
After the base model has a chance to become entrenched in dealer showrooms, Ram will roll out the 392, 392 Track Pack, and the Rumble Bee SRT during the first half of 2027. It remains to be seen how tariffs will impact the prices for all four models, which are produced at Stellantis’s Saltillo factory in Mexico. Mexico has been the subject of past tariffs by the Trump Administration, and the ongoing volatility on this front might force Ram to make pricing adjustments before launch.
