If your family drives a Hyundai EV, your road trips just got cheaper. Starting Aug. 19, 2026, Hyundai IONNA charging comes with an automatic 10% discount at every IONNA fast-charging station in the country. Better yet, a stacked bonus pushes the savings all the way to 20% through Sept. 30, 2026. And because the discount is automatic, nobody has to hunt for codes while the kids wait in the back seat. That is a small change with a big payoff for anyone who charges on the go.

What the Hyundai IONNA Charging Discount Means for Your Family

Hyundai is a founding partner in IONNA, a charging network built by eight of the world’s biggest automakers. As a result, Hyundai drivers now get a real perk: 10% off every session at more than 150 IONNA locations. For families, those savings add up fast. Every school run, every weekend trip, and every summer vacation costs a little less at the plug. Best of all, the savings show up without any extra effort from you. It is the kind of everyday win that busy parents actually notice.

How the Hyundai IONNA Charging Discount Works

Hyundai IONNA charging could not be much simpler. First, you start a session using Hyundai In-App Charging in the MyHyundai with Bluelink app, or with Plug & Charge. Then the 10% discount applies automatically. There are no promo codes and no rebates to chase later. On top of that, IONNA is adding a second 10% bonus right now, so eligible Hyundai EVs save a full 20% through Sept. 30, 2026. You can even stack the ongoing discount with other IONNA holiday deals.

As Hyundai’s Olabisi Boyle put it, the goal is “immediate savings on fast, reliable public charging built into the ownership experience.”

Which Hyundai and Genesis EVs Qualify

Not every model is enabled yet, but the list keeps growing. Right now, these Hyundai EVs qualify:

  • IONIQ 5: 2022 and newer
  • IONIQ 5 N: 2025 and newer
  • IONIQ 9: 2026 and newer
  • KONA Electric: 2025 and newer

Select Genesis models join in too, including the 2026 GV60 and the 2026 Electrified GV70. If your EV is not on the list yet, don’t worry. Hyundai says more models will be added as In-App Charging rolls out.

Why Reliable Charging Matters on Family Road Trips

Let’s be honest: range anxiety is really about trust. When you travel with children, a broken charger or a confusing payment screen can wreck the mood fast. Fortunately, IONNA aims to fix exactly that. The network focuses on reliable, high-speed charging, and it plans to grow to more than 30,000 charging points by 2030. In short, Hyundai IONNA charging is built to be something families can count on. That peace of mind is worth a lot with a car full of kids and a schedule to keep.

The Rechargery: Charging Stops Kids Won’t Complain About

IONNA’s flagship stations, called Rechargeries, make the stop itself more pleasant. Instead of standing in an empty lot, your family can relax in a lounge with comfortable seating and amenities close by. As a result, a 20-minute charge feels less like a chore and more like a real break. For parents, that means a bathroom stop, a snack run, and a quiet minute, all in one place.

The Bottom Line for Hyundai Families

Perks like this are exactly what make the switch to electric easier for busy households. With automatic Hyundai IONNA charging savings, a growing station network, and family-friendly Rechargeries, the cost and hassle of charging keep shrinking. So if you own an eligible Hyundai or Genesis EV, simply charge through the app or Plug & Charge and let the savings roll in. For the full details, see Hyundai’s official EV lineup.
