2026 Acura ADX A-Spec: Sharp Looks, Smart Tech, Modest Power

The 2026 Acura ADX marks the brand’s entry into the subcompact luxury crossover segment. It comes in three trims: the ADX, A-Spec, and the fully loaded A-Spec with Advance Package. Built on the same platform as the Honda HR-V, it is about six inches longer. In our time with the 2026 Acura ADX A-Spec, we found bold styling, sharp handling, and a generous helping of technology for the price. The powertrain and CVT, however, lean more practical than sporty.
Performance and Fuel Economy

The ADX A-Spec uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder VTEC engine that makes 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable transmission with paddle shifters sends power to the front wheels, with all-wheel drive (AWD) available as an option. The A-Spec rides on 19-inch wheels.
Performance is adequate rather than exciting. The ADX A-Spec takes about 9.7 seconds to reach 60 MPH, and the turbo engine feels a bit slow off the line. The EPA rates fuel economy at 25 to 26 MPG in the city and 30 to 31 MPG on the highway, depending on the drivetrain. In daily driving, expect about 27 to 28 MPG. The AWD model rates 27 MPG combined, and front-wheel-drive (FWD) versions do slightly better at 28 MPG combined.
Interior, Tech, and Cargo

The A-Spec trim gives the cabin a sportier feel, much like it does in the Integra A-Spec. The seats are finished in two-tone leather and microsuede, and our tester’s Orchid and blue color scheme pairs perfectly with its Double Apex Blue paint. Sport pedals and a flat-bottom, leather-wrapped steering wheel complete the look. Metal gas and brake pedals are a nice detail. Comfort features include ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof.
Technology is where the ADX A-Spec shines. A 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster sits behind the wheel, and the 9-inch touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The A-Spec with Advance Package adds Google built-in, a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a surround-view camera.

Cargo space measures 23.2 to 24.4 cubic feet behind the rear seats and expands to 53.9 to 55.1 cubic feet with the seats folded down. That makes the ADX a practical choice for anyone who wants a sporty luxury SUV for daily errands and weekend trips.
Styling and Pricing

Outside, the A-Spec adds sporty design details and distinctive paint choices, including Double Apex Blue Pearl. Wheels go up to 19 inches in gray or Berlina Black aluminum alloy. Pricing for the ADX starts at $35,000, while the A-Spec starts at $38,000. A fully loaded A-Spec with Advance Package and AWD tops out at $44,000 before destination.
| Trim | FWD | AWD |
|---|---|---|
| ADX | $35,000 | $37,000 |
| ADX A-Spec | $38,000 | $40,000 |
| ADX A-Spec with Advance Package | $42,000 | $44,000 |
Bottom Line

The ADX A-Spec is a stylish, practical pick for city driving, with sharp steering and a comfortable ride. Power is modest and fuel economy is average, and a hybrid version would add punch, improve efficiency, and help balance the weight. Even so, the 2026 Acura ADX A-Spec ends on a positive note: it is a good-looking subcompact luxury crossover that works well for daily use and long trips.
