Toyota is taking its Woodland look well beyond a single trim. At the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the automaker revealed a new family of Toyota Woodland concepts that dress up five of its electrified and family-focused vehicles for life past the pavement.

The lineup covers a plug-in hybrid, hybrids, and an EV, from a compact SUV to a minivan. Every one of them wears matching Horizon Blue paint, lift kits, and all-terrain tires, so the group looks like it rolled out of the same camping trip.

Five Family Vehicles Get the Woodland Treatment

Rather than building wild one-off rock crawlers, Toyota focused on the vehicles families actually buy. The Woodland concept family includes:

  • RAV4 Woodland Plug-in Hybrid Concept
  • Sienna Woodland Concept
  • Woodland bZ Concept
  • Grand Highlander Woodland Concept
  • Toyota Crown Signia Woodland Concept

Toyota says the goal is to support getting out, staying longer, and carrying more of what matters. In other words, these are built for the trailhead, the campsite, and the drive to school on Monday morning. They also join Toyota’s other SEMA builds this week, including the Snowhunter concepts and the Crown Signia GT-S concept.

A Shared Look With a Throwback Color

Toyota’s CALTY Design Research studio gave all five concepts a common identity. As a result, you can spot the family resemblance right away:

  • Lift kits
  • Large over-fenders
  • Rugged satin-black wheels
  • All-terrain tires
  • Two-tone paint on the roofs and hoods
  • Roof racks and cross bars

The Horizon Blue paint is the coolest detail. Toyota says it draws from the brand’s 1960s color palette, used on classics like the Stout pickup, Crown, and Corona. It is a fun nod to Toyota history, and frankly, it looks great against a forest backdrop.

RAV4 and Sienna Go Adventuring

Toyota says the RAV4 Woodland Plug-in Hybrid Concept and Sienna Woodland Concept show how its electrified family vehicles can take on a more adventurous role. Neither idea is brand new, either. Toyota already sells a production RAV4 PHEV Woodland, and we recently took the 2026 RAV4 PHEV Woodland on the rally course at the Texas Truck Rodeo, where its 324 horsepower and Trail Mode made it a blast.

Likewise, the Sienna has worn a Woodland badge before. We spent time with the 2023 Toyota Sienna XLE Woodland Edition, and this concept pushes that lifted minivan idea even further with bigger fender flares and a roof rack.

The bZ Woodland Concept Brings the Theme to EVs

Meanwhile, the Woodland bZ Concept carries the look into Toyota’s battery-electric future. It builds on the production bZ Woodland, which we lived with as a family. In our 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland AWD review, the vehicle itself was quiet, quick, and great for family life, while public charging caused the real headaches.

That is why home charging matters so much if a bZ is on your list. A Level 2 charger like this Lectron home EV charger lets you leave the driveway full every morning, so public stations become a backup instead of a routine.

Grand Highlander and Crown Signia Add Polish

Finally, Toyota says the Grand Highlander Woodland Concept and Crown Signia Woodland Concept offer two distinct takes on refinement and versatility. The Grand Highlander already has a production version on the way, and our story on the 2027 Toyota Grand Highlander Woodland Edition covers its all-terrain tires, extra ground clearance, standard AWD, and removable second-row cooler.

The Crown Signia is the surprise here. Toyota’s upscale wagon is usually about comfort, so seeing it with a lift kit, chunky tires, and a roof rack makes it one of the more interesting builds in the group.

Concepts, at Least for Now

Before you call your dealer, keep in mind these are special project prototypes. Toyota notes they use parts and accessories it does not sell, which could void a warranty, affect performance and safety, and may not be street legal.

Even so, the production Woodland models are real, and you can explore them on Toyota.com. With Woodland now spread across the RAV4, bZ, and Grand Highlander, it would not be shocking to see more of these ideas reach showrooms.

Our Take on the Toyota Woodland Concepts

I love this idea. Most SEMA builds are aimed at hardcore off-roaders, but Toyota pointed this group straight at families like ours who mostly need a little extra ground clearance and a place to strap the camping gear. The Horizon Blue paint is the cherry on top.

These would look right at home on the red dirt of East Texas.
